Sandcastles classes for children of divorce
Sandcastles is an approved, 3.5-hour course that is presented by Dr. Percy Ricketts in Pembroke Pines, Broward County, Florida. It is an educational program and support group that was developed by Psychotherapist M. Gary Neuman of Miami Beach, Florida, and it was designed specifically for children of divorce, ages 6-17 Years. Sandcastles currently operates as a mandatory program in over a dozen cities in the United States including Miami-Dade County. It also operates as a voluntary program in numerous other areas of the United States and around the world. Over 100,000 children have successfully completed the program in the United States.
The Sandcastles program has been featured in People Magazine, Time Magazine, Parenting Magazine & Parents Magazine. It has also been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, Good Morning America, NBC Nightly News, CBS Weekend News, Talk of the Nation, CNN, National Public Radio, The View & Dateline NBC. Through this 3-hour program, children learn valuable adjustment skills, which help make divorce less painful. They will also learn:

*SANDCASTLES groups are offered in Pembroke Pines on alternate Saturdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Children are separated into 4 aged-based groups as follows, 6-7 years, 8-10 years, 11-13 years and 14-17 years. Groups are sometimes combined, based on the number of children of a particular age.
